Reiki Level 1 initiations are usually done in three-hour sessions held on four consecutive days or in a two-day weekend workshop. During the initiation, as Reiki master, I perform four brief ceremonies to facilitate the opening and clearing of your healing channels.
You will learn the history of Reiki and the basic hand positions for transmitting the Reiki energy. Then you will practise using this very effective energetic healing system on yourself and on other people in the workshop. You will also begin to explore ways of using Reiki in your own life and in service to others.
At the Reiki 2 level, you will be taught the methods for sending Reiki at a distance and for furthering the mental, spiritual and emotional healing processes of those to whom you transmit Reiki.
A Reiki Level 2 initiation is usually done in two sessions. Once you have received the Reiki Level 1 initiation and are using Reiki energy in your life, you can request a Reiki Level 2 initiation.
